Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 16 July 2026
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") set out the rules for using the JoJones online store and for purchasing products offered through it. Please read them carefully before placing an order. By placing an order, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms.
1. About the Seller
The JoJones online store is operated by:
Joanna Jones Wapniarnia Pierwsza 38 64-980 Trzcianka, Poland
Email: jojonesenfant@gmail.com Tel: +48 795 274 993
The Seller conducts unregistered business activity ("działalność nierejestrowana") within the meaning of Polish law. In relations with consumers, the Seller acts as a trader and complies with applicable consumer-protection rules.
2. Definitions
Seller – Joanna Jones, operating the JoJones store, as identified above.
Customer – any person who places an order in the store.
Consumer – a Customer who is a natural person entering into a contract for purposes not directly related to their business or professional activity.
Store – the JoJones online store, operated through the Squarespace platform.
Product – a handmade knitted item or accessory offered for sale in the Store.
Order – the Customer's declaration of intent to purchase one or more Products.
3. General Provisions
3.1. These Terms apply to all orders placed through the Store.
3.2. To place an order, the Customer needs a device with internet access, a web browser and a valid email address.
3.3. The Customer is required to use the Store in accordance with the law and good practice, and not to provide unlawful content.
3.4. Products are described on their respective Store pages. Photographs are illustrative; because the Products are handmade, minor differences in colour, texture and finish are natural and do not constitute a defect.
4. Products
4.1. All Products are handmade and made to order according to the specifications selected by the Customer (for example size, colour, yarn or personalised details). Each item is produced individually after an order is placed.
4.2. The Products are made from natural fibres (such as cashmere, merino, alpaca and mohair). Slight irregularities inherent to natural materials and handcrafting are part of each item's character.
4.3. Care instructions are provided with the Product and/or on the Store page. The Seller is not responsible for damage resulting from care that does not follow these instructions.
5. Orders and Contract Formation
5.1. The Customer places an order by selecting the Product and its options, adding it to the basket, providing the required delivery and contact details, choosing a delivery and payment method, and confirming the order with an obligation to pay.
5.2. After the order is placed, the Customer receives an email confirming its receipt. A contract of sale is concluded once the Seller confirms acceptance of the order.
5.3. Because Products are made to order, the Seller begins production after payment has been received.
5.4. The Seller may refuse or cancel an order where it cannot be fulfilled (for example, unavailability of materials or an evident pricing error), in which case any payment already made will be refunded.
6. Prices and Payment
6.1. Prices are shown in the currency indicated on the Store and at checkout. Prices are the total amounts payable for the Products; any applicable delivery charges are shown separately before the order is confirmed.
6.2. Payment methods available at checkout may include Stripe, PayPal, BLIK and Przelewy24. Payments are processed securely by the relevant provider; the Seller does not receive or store full payment-card details.
6.3. The order is processed once payment has been successfully completed.
6.4. Depending on the Seller's status, a receipt or another proof of purchase will be provided in accordance with applicable law.
7. Delivery and Shipping
7.1. The Seller ships worldwide. Available delivery methods and costs are shown at checkout before the order is confirmed.
7.2. As each Product is made to order, the total time before dispatch consists of the production time and the delivery time. Estimated production time: [to be completed, e.g. X–Y working days]. Estimated delivery time depends on the destination and carrier: [to be completed].
7.3. Delivery is carried out by courier or postal companies. The Seller is not responsible for delays caused by the carrier or by circumstances beyond the Seller's control.
7.4. Orders shipped outside the European Union may be subject to import duties, taxes and customs charges in the destination country. These are the Customer's responsibility and are not included in the price or delivery charge. The Seller recommends checking local rules before ordering.
8. Right of Withdrawal
8.1. Under EU consumer law, a Consumer generally has the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days without giving a reason.
8.2. Important exception: this right does not apply to contracts for the supply of goods that are made to the Consumer's specifications or are clearly personalised (Article 16(1)(c) of Directive 2011/83/EU and the corresponding provisions of Polish law).
8.3. Because all JoJones Products are made to order according to the Customer's specifications and/or personalised, the right of withdrawal does not apply to them once the contract is concluded and production begins.
8.4. As a matter of good practice, if you wish to cancel an order, please contact the Seller as soon as possible at jojonesenfant@gmail.com. If production has not yet started, the Seller will do their best to accommodate a cancellation. Once production has started, cancellation may no longer be possible.
8.5. This exception does not affect your rights where a Product is faulty or does not conform to the contract (see Section 9).
8.6. Consumers located outside the EU may have different statutory rights under their local law; nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be excluded by law.
9. Complaints and Conformity of Goods
9.1. The Seller is obliged to deliver Products that conform to the contract.
9.2. If a Product is faulty or does not conform to the contract, the Consumer may be entitled to have it repaired or replaced or, in certain cases, to a price reduction or a refund, in accordance with applicable consumer law.
9.3. Complaints should be submitted by email to jojonesenfant@gmail.com, describing the issue and, where possible, including photographs and the order details.
9.4. The Seller will respond to a complaint within the time required by applicable law (in Poland, generally within 14 days) and will inform the Customer of the outcome and next steps.
9.5. Natural variations of handmade items made from natural fibres (see Section 4) are not considered defects.
10. Intellectual Property
All content of the Store — including the JoJones name and logo, product designs, photographs and text — is protected by law and belongs to the Seller or is used with permission. It may not be copied or used without the Seller's prior consent.
11. Personal Data
The Seller processes personal data in accordance with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy available on the Store. Please refer to those documents for details on how your data is collected, used and protected, and on your rights.
12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
12.1. These Terms and any contract concluded under them are governed by Polish law. Where the Customer is a Consumer, this choice of law does not deprive them of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of their country of habitual residence.
12.2. The Seller aims to resolve any disputes amicably. Consumers may first contact the Seller directly at jojonesenfant@gmail.com.
12.3. Consumers may also make use of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) bodies where available. Information on consumer dispute-resolution entities in the EU is available through the national consumer authorities and the European Commission's consumer-redress information pages. In Poland, consumers may seek assistance from the district (municipal) consumer ombudsman (miejski/powiatowy rzecznik konsumentów) or the Trade Inspection (Inspekcja Handlowa).
12.4. Nothing in this Section limits a Consumer's right to bring a matter before the competent court.
13. Changes to the Terms
The Seller may amend these Terms for valid reasons (for example, changes in the law or in the way the Store operates). Orders placed before a change takes effect are governed by the Terms in force at the time the order was placed. The "Last updated" date above shows when these Terms were most recently revised.
14. Contact
